All delegates must book for the social events they wish to attend, including the Welcome Reception, English Ceilidh & Talent Show and Gala Dinner. If you have already registered and wish to add these to your registration please contact the secretariat.
Wednesday 23rd August
Welcome Reception (1830 - 2030 hours) - Sponsored by Hilton Manchester Deansgate
ESH 2017 will commence with an Opening Ceremony, followed by a Welcome Reception in the exhibition area, where drinks will be served. Incusive for all registered delegates and registered accompanying guests.
Thursday 24th August
English Ceilidh & Talent Show (2030 - 2300 hours)
£22.00 per person including a three course buffet dinner
Come and enjoy some Northern hospitality! at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
Great Manchester food and drink, Fun and frolics! Enjoy northern music and dancing with Shake-a-Leg. Join in an English Ceilidh suitable for all levels of ability. Ticket required.
Laugh out loud with our own ESH Talent show while you enjoy especially chosen Northern food!
ESH Talent Show (before the Ceilidh)
Uncover your hidden potential! To remind us to keep humour in both life and work! Calling all talents:- songs, skits, poems, music (you need to bring your own musical instruments), including funny powerpoint presentations related to the conference and hypnosis - put together by the conference attendees, coordinated by Åsa Fe Kockum. As a guideline - 3-4 minutes each.
Friday 25th August
Gala Dinner & Dance (2000 - 2300 hours)
£45.00 per person
One of the highlights of ESH 2017 will be the Gala Dinner and Dance, which will take place in the Hilton Deansgate. Enjoy your pre-dinner drinks while you are amazed by the sleight of hand of our great magician, David Smith, doing close up magic that will astound you! After a three-course meal with wine, guests will have the chance to listen and dance to Jazz Hands, a Manchester based Jazz band. Ticket required.
